Dear Colleagues,
As 2021 draws to a close, I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to each of you for the continued dedication and hard work everyone has shown over the past year. The UN Global Compact initiative is truly driven by the inspiring passion and energy of every colleague across the globe. Thank you for your tireless commitment towards driving action for a more equitable and sustainable world, where no one is left behind.
As we look towards 2022, I encourage all of us to take a moment to pause and reflect. I am inspired to build upon the remarkable accomplishments we have collectively achieved this year in bringing the Global Compact strategy to life. I have full confidence that we are well-placed to drive forward implementation in the year ahead – accelerating the critical corporate sustainability and responsible business practises needed to achieve the SDGs.
We will kick off the year with a Townhall with Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed on Tuesday 11 January. A calendar invitation will follow and colleagues are invited to submit any questions you would like to ask the DSG in advance of the session, using the form below.
I would also like to share my wishes of optimism and resilience as we step into the New Year! I look forward to continuing our important work together to realise the ambition of the UN Global Compact.
